Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand the brand, audience segments, and main value proposition to create strategic messaging for highly engaging contentWrite B2B content that works like B2C, where big ideas matter and well-written headlines are needed to connect our clients’ technologies to outcomes that speak to their ideal customers. SME Interviews and Product / Topic Expertise:Take a journalistic approach and support SME interviews in order to create content that resonates with the audience by deeply understanding the topic. You're deadline driven, a joy to work with, and hungry to do great workConduct SME interviews to inform your writing and help build authority around the content topicCreative Problem Solving and Writing: Our ideal candidate is a great conceptual thinker with a knack for making clients say, “Why didn’t we think of that?” Easily distill complex product benefits into simple, emotionally-driven messages Understand that a web page without a UVP is just noise, and a landing page without a personality is unengagingIdentify as a storyteller, weaving brand voice and a POV into everything that you writeCollaboration with SEO: You also understand the basics of SEO, and can collaborate closely with our SEO team to develop content that is engaging but also ranksDive into content briefs to fully understand what the content is about, who we’re targeting and why the brand product or service matters to the intended audienceDeliver great strategic writing that brings it all to life in an emotionally-driven wayProject manage a network of freelance writersA portion of your role will be acting as the liaison between Directive strategists and external writersCopyediting: ability to revise content drafts in order to incorporate client and PMM feedback, brand guidelines, and moreCopyedit articles written by external writers on an as needed basisTake initiative on projects and provide new and innovative ideas and solutionsIn addition to your day to day assignments, bring ideas to further improve the content division at DirectiveStand up process and propose new technology to propel us forwardWhat you offer:A great portfolio, including pages you’ve written, websites and landing pages, long form guides, and anything else you deem worthy of considerationMinimum 2 years experience in a copywriting or content production role for B2BExperience with technical writing and content writing for B2B SaaS and technology companiesBachelor's or Ad School degree in Copywriting, or a related discipline is highly preferred Working knowledge of Google Workspace or Microsoft Office. Superb creative thinking skills to solve problems and create breakthrough solutionsA talent for distilling complex product features and tech-heavy information into simple concepts that customers will relate to and connect withExcellent verbal, written and presentation skills. The annual base salary range for this position based in the United States is $85,000 USD DOE. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on Directive's compensation practices, job related skills, and depth of experience. Work Environment RequirementsAs a remote-first company, you’ll have the ability to work from anywhere in the US, with the option to enjoy our state-of-the-art offices in Irvine, California. For some positions, as posted, we will accommodate global opportunities where we have established businesses, including Canada, the UK, and Australia. For global locations, you must have established and current work authorization and permanently reside in that country.This role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually from your home office. We primarily collaborate with our colleagues through virtual meetings (Zoom), and Slack. In this role, you will be required to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity tools as necessary.
