Mary, Queen of Angels is an Assisted Living community with 75-100 residents seeking a dining room attendant to join our dietary team. We provide a casual dining experience to our residents. The dining room is open from 7a-7p and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Looking for friendly, dependable person who loves to serve and desires to work in a pleasant environment with a great team. Experience is not required.Dining Room Shift Options:8 Hours: 4 Hours:6:00AM-2:00PM 3:00PM-7:00PM11:00AM-7:00PMDining room attendants assist residents with food selection, ordering meals, load and carry trays to table, clean dining room and serving area in preparation of next meal. Set dining tables using proper etiquette for dining room service. Assist other servers and cooks, working in cooperation with team members to accomplish the completion of daily tasks.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist residents with food selection, assist with loading of trays, carry trays to table, or wait on resident at table. Uses acceptable standards in proper etiquette in dining room service. Responsible for assisting servers and cooks as directed.Fill out all charts and forms pertaining to the daily kitchen routine and sanitation procedures.Have complete knowledge of Food Service sanitation, following all policies and procedures on the job. Able to work with other team members and cooperate in completion of duties. Responsible for room service traysUses proper set up for dining room tables or as directed by supervisor. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESGood interpersonal and communication skills.Able to handle complaints graciously.Follow DirectionsDependableAbility to understand English well enough to follow written and oral instructions and procedures, and to communicate with residents, employees, visitors, guests, etc.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEA high school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in food service.Physical Demands Able to be on feet standing or walking 8-12 hours per day.Able to sit in one position for 3-4 hours at a time.Able to lift 60-70 lbs. on occasional basis. Able to bend, stoop, squat, twist numerous times daily. Able to speak in clear, concise voice in order to communicate with residents who may be hearing impaired. Able to carry out fine motor skills and manual dexterity.Able to see and hear adequately in order to respond to auditory and visual request from residents.
