Your passion for the sport and ability to motivate and inspire players will contribute to their growth and success on and off the field. Candidates are expected to attend an orientation meeting and complete all certifications as required by the athletics department, including but not limited to CPR/first aid, concussion training, bus certification, and mental health training.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Teach fundamental and advanced athletic skills to athletes in order to prepare them for competition.Plan and conduct practice sessions to improve player performance.Understand how to increase student-athlete proficiency in enhancing and advancing athletic abilities specific to their sport.Coach at every home and away game scheduled for the season.Support recruitment of student participation and focus on retention for the team.Drive the team to away games using the school buses and ensure proper supervision is always provided.Ensure the program is led by encouraging a high level of competitive success.Qualifications/Requirements:Education and qualifications should include the following:High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred.Can manage sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentialityHave an excellent understanding of the rules, strategies, and techniques for the sport.Knowledgeable about physical fitness, safety, injury, and sports equipment.Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.Valid Drivers LisenceProficient in Google Suite.A sense of resonance with the St. Marys Academy mission.Salary/Benefits:This is a part-time seasonal position and the stipend range for this position is $1,500-$1,800 depending on experience.
