The core of the Siren Song brand is about a customer experience that is delightful, high quality, and memorable.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES - GENERALManage daily kitchen operations from opening to closingFollow operating procedures and checklists for opening and closing and oversee that checklist items are completed in a quality way for every shift.Check, secure, label, and date food and ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize wasteSupervise and coordinate line cooks and other food preparation workersWork with Executive Chef to plan and execute menus for special eventsEnsure all recipes and plating techniques are documented, trained, prepared and plated consistentlyTrack and manage food costs Monitor, manage, and document prep quantities and food wasteExecute weekly inventory Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionalityParticipate in the hiring, training, and supervision of cooks and other food preparation workersMonitor sanitation practices and ensure that kitchen safety standards are followedMaintain the highest level of hygiene, health standards, and uniform codeExpedite food to customers, bus, and wash dishes as neededWork with Manager to support daily operational flow as well as providing input to weekly staff scheduling.Attend staff meetings/training RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES OTHERYou are expected to be super polite and super friendly in all guest interactions.You are expected to arrive on time and be prepared to work.You are expected to be well-groomed, wear a clean (to be provided), and comfortable, clean/polished shoes.You are expected to follow all operational procedures and house rules to ensure customer and employee safety, and comfortYou are expected to set an example of our best practices every dayAs a leader, you are expected to work closely with other leadership and management staff to effectively identify, trouble shoot, and solve problems as well as identify areas for improvement as needed.REQUIREMENTSYou must have at least 2-3 years commercial kitchen/restaurant/food service experienceRequires a social security card, and a valid drivers license.Be physically capable of standing and assisting customers for several hours each day.Be physically capable of lifting and carrying 40 pounds.Be physically capable of carrying trays with wine stems and plates.Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES/TRACK RECORD Evangelist: Able to evangelize our products, events, and our winery.Work Ethic: Willing to roll-up the sleeves and go the extra mile.Enthusiastic: Friendly, outgoing, and social personality.Passionate: Enjoy cooking, experimenting, learning, and servingHonesty and High Integrity: Earn the respect and trust of guests, customers, and the winery team.Communicator and Team Player: Excellent listener; proven collaborator with the winery team.Multi-tasking: Ability to successfully handle multiple customers and coordinate with other members of the winery team.
