We have a spot for you as well.Some sushi experience is necessary, if you have zero sushi experience you may qualify for our sushi internship program, but this post isn't about that.You need to know how to fillet a salmon, how to cut and present a sashimi platter, how to serve nigiri, how to talk to guests while you're doing all of the above and more obviously. Move to CB and live the dream....Now is literally the BEST time of the year to find housing in Crested Butte.The Izakaya Cabin in Crested Butte has 2 openings this winter...Sushi Chef ( Full-Time + Some Experience Required )Sushi Apprentice ( Part-Time + Will Train )Sushi Chef. position requires prior knowledge at a Sushi Bar.We would like it if you had minimum 6 months experience andBasic skills like...-Customer interaction.. know how to read a customer-Fillet a salmon-Break down a Blue Fin Tuna-Slice Unagi ( is unagi gluten free? )-Sushi vocabulary - Gunkan, Inari, Ikura, Etc...-Why a super freezer?-Hamachi Collar... Smoked? Grilled? Fried?-Ever heard of Autec? we have 2...You get the idea...If you've never put together a sashimi platter or torched an aburi platter please don't apply for chef position.So your a capable Sushi Chef, what else do you need to know about us?- We are professional & laid back...- We wear chef coats and baseball hats on backwards. Tattoos? Mohawk?.. no problem- We drink sake with our guests, but we don't get hammered- We show up early to be prepared and we stay late to mingle with our family of friends- We have a printed menu of sushi staples and we pride ourselves on being spontaneously creative- Our printed menu is very sushi-roll forward.
