Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a Tax Analyst, Indirect Tax to join our growing Finance team! In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Manager, Indirect Tax and will have primary ownership of the end-to-end Exemption Certificate Management process. To be successful in this role you should have a bachelor's degree in taxation, accounting, business, or related field. You should also have at least three years of experience in indirect tax filing, research and compliance and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized and detail oriented.As A Tax Analyst, Indirect Tax you Responsibilities will include:Streamline and own the end-to-end exemption and resale certificate processOrganize and manage the tax services department email boxAssist with state and local licensing and registration requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to help resolve tax issues and meet business objectivesProvide support for state and local tax notice and audit inquiriesAssist with the franchise fee compliance processAssist with the property tax compliance processAll duties as directed or modifiedQualificationsWhat It Takes To Catch Our Eye:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, similar field or equivalent experience3-5 years of indirect tax experienceBackground in the telecommunications industryDetail oriented and organized with the ability to also understand the big pictureExcellent Analytical skillsDesire and ability to make constant process improvementsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.)Experience with CERTify Tax or other Exemption Certificate Management softwareExperience with Vertex, Avalara and other indirect tax softwareFamiliarity with SAP #LI-AK1Additional InformationWHY JOIN US?We aspire to contemporary ways of working.Recognized as a Top Workplace by the Charlotte Observer, Brightspeed HQ is located on the 7th floor of the new Vantage South End - East Tower in Charlotte, NC.
