Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant / Manager to join our Client's Private Accounting / Tax firm that specializes in Accounting, Tax preparing as well as Tax projections and planning services to Small / Medium size businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical accounting, Tax Returns for Corporation / Individual, as well as provide strategic guidance / advice to diverse industry businesses.This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the financial success of the organization.Duties & Responsibilities:Day to day management and oversight of client relationshipsFacilitate effective and profitable client workflowPrepare and review balance sheet account reconciliationsPrepare and review financial statements for small businessesPrepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returnsPrepare budgetsMaintain and prepare 1099 filingsPrepare sales and use tax returnsPrepare tangible tax returnsLimited tax research to include Federal and State notice resolutionPrepare tax projections and provide tax planning servicesProvide strategic guidance and advice to clients in diverse industries by gaining a solid understanding of their financial needsMentor colleaguesDesired Skills, Abilities, and Characteristics:Work experience:Public accounting (required)5+ yearsCredentials:Bachelors degree in Accounting (preferred) or FinanceMasters Degree in Accounting or taxActive CPA/EA license or CPA eligible is preferred but not requiredStrong knowledgebase in accounting and tax principlesUnderstanding of filing requirements and deadlines for income tax returns, sales tax returns, tangible returns, and payroll tax returnsStrong:Analytical, mathematical, and critical thinking skillsAttention to detail/accuracyOrganizational and time management skillsWork ethicInterpersonal skillsHighly motivated individual that can work with minimal supervisionAbility to effectively communicate both in writing and verballyAbility to multi-task in a busy environment and meet deadlinesTechnology:Proficient in tax software (Thompson Reuters UltraTax Preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks DesktopBenefits Offered:Health insurance (employee premium is fully paid by employer)Dental and vision insurance (employee premium is fully paid by employer)Short-term disability (employee premium is fully paid by employer)Paid holidays and vacations401(k) with employer matchContinuing education opportunitiesFree garage parkingFitness facility on siteJob Type: Full-timePay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k) 4% MatchDental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid sick timePaid time offProfessional development assistanceTuition reimbursementVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Yearly bonus
