HNW Family looking to hire a Full-Time Teacher to join their pod of teachers (ideally needs teaching certification K-8 or K-12, and willing to travel if needed).This position will be based outside of Los Angeles - must be ok with working 30 days in the Midwest (location disclosed in the interview). MUST BE BASED IN USA.A fun and loving family with three school-age children is looking to hire a governess, someone with a teaching license and Certification for Elementary K-8/K-12 with 4+ years of experience working in a classroom/in a private setting. We need someone to oversee curriculum, lesson plans, manage other teachers, work with the school district and oversee administration and documentation. Our current licensed teacher will take on less of a lead role.Children's Ages: Middle school agesStart Date: ASAP - Oct 2024Schedule:One month on, one month off. For example, you may work April but have May off and come back for June.Occasional overnights with advance notice given.Availability to travel to OH and CA. All travel expenses will be paid. You will need to work some weekends.Governess Salary: Negotiable based on experience. This is for the 30 days on and 30 days off schedule (only working half the year - still paid on off months).Duties/Teacher responsibilities:Work with certified teacher to develop weekly lesson plans and implement age appropriate curriculum to nurture and stimulate the childrens development. Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment. Perform ongoing developmental evaluations of children. Provide responsive care to the children by adapting daily caregiving routines and plans to the interests and needs of the individual child. Demonstrate cultural competency and respect for the childrens background by incorporating the cultural, linguistic and familial values and beliefs into the childcare program and lesson plans. Maintain ongoing, open communication with parents/ caregivers and teaching team. Completes daily health checks regarding hygiene, safety and overall well-being of the children. Assures a healthy, safe, clean and developmentally appropriate environment for the children. Assist with functioning and monitoring of nutrition and food service. Reports all staffing and classroom concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.Full care of the children, schedule and implementation of age-appropriate activities and child's development. Additional household duties include maintaining the cleanliness of shared spaces, housekeeping, and organization. An early childhood education teacher. Must have home school or prior teaching experience in a formal setting. Your resume must show your formal teaching experience or it will be dismissed. Certified teachers required. Must have experience with student reporting and creating a curriculum as well as developing engaging field trips to enhance the children's learning. Must have prior experience working in a fully staffed home working alongside other nannies and/ or teachers. An NDA is required to be completed. Complete focus on the children. Someone who is consistent, kind-hearted, confident, can take direction and initiative, follow a consistent routine and create age-appropriate varied and fun developmental activities.
