<p>Greenwired is a locally owned and operated Solar, Electric, Heating, and Air contractor. We are looking for an EXPERIENCED HVAC candidate to join our team!</p><p>Technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and commitment to customer service are essential for success in this position. Starting pay for this position is based on experience and expertise of the applicant. Responsibilities include, though are not limited to:</p><ul><li><strong>Installation</strong>: Install new HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, duct work, thermostats, and other components under guidance of HVAC Department Manager</li><li><strong>Maintenance</strong>: Regular maintenance is crucial for the efficient operation of HVAC systems. Tasks could include: inspection of equipment, cleaning ducts and filters, lubricating moving parts, and performing tests to ensure optimal performance. Also may need to identify and address potential issues before they escalate into costly repairs and report back to the HVAC Department Manager.</li><li><strong>Repair</strong>: Diagnosis of problems and perform necessary repairs. This may involve troubleshooting electrical components, replacing faulty parts, repairing leaks, or recalibrating controls. An understanding of HVAC systems and be adept at using diagnostic tools is preferred.</li><li><strong>Customer Service</strong>: Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach are essential for building trust and ensuring customer satisfaction.</li><li><strong>Compliance</strong>: HVAC technicians must adhere to safety regulations and industry standards to ensure the safe operation of HVAC systems. This includes following building codes, handling refrigerants properly, and implementing safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.</li><li><strong>Documentation</strong>: Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and installations is essential for tracking equipment performance, warranty coverage, and compliance with regulations. Technicians may use software or paper-based systems to maintain detailed records.</li><li><strong>Teamwork</strong>: This position is part of a growing team, collaborating with other technicians, managers, and support staff to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of projects. Effective teamwork and collaboration skills are valuable in this context.</li><li><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong> A high school diploma or equivalent, past experience working within the HVAC field, and necessary technical skills including a stong understanding of heating/ventilation/air conditioning systems and mechanical/electrical systems. Key technical skills include the ability to read and interpret schematics, proficiency in troubelshooting and diagnosing HVAC system problems, and knowledge of HVAC equipment installation/maintenance/repair techniques.</li><li><strong>Preferred Qualifications: </strong>HVAC related certifications such as EPA 608, HVAC Excellence Certification , NATE (North American Technician Excellence) Certification, and/or Manufacturer-specific certifications for particular HVAC brands or systems.</li><li><strong>Physical: </strong>HVAC technicians may need to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and spend long hours standing, kneeling, or crouching. Good physical condition is important for performing job duties safely and effectively.</li></ul>
