This is a challenging and rewarding job. As a UX/Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and functional digital products. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create intuitive interfaces that meet both user needs and business goals. Your role will span the entire product development process, from initial concept through to final implementation.Your role also requires what all startups require - grit, enthusiasm and the ability to lean in and take ownership. Key ResponsibilitiesTaking concepts from research, to exploration, to prototypes, to production.User Research and Analysis: from planning and conducting to insights synthesisConduct various types of user research to continuously iterate on and improve the productIdentify key metrics for research objectivesUnderstanding of quantitative and qualitative user insights and how to bring them forward to guide design decisions and reach product goalsDesign and prototyping: from wire-framing to designing end-to-end flows and prototypesApply design thinking to balance business objectives, user needs and insights, and technical implications, shaping solutions in a pragmatic wayExplore and conceptualise solutions for complex problems, keep designs detailed-focused and flexible for future needsWork with design systems and patterns to ensure consistency across platform and use cases, aligning with IndyKites brand guidelinesCollaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: build supportive culture with usImplementing solutions with the Engineering teamCollaborate with other designers to continually refine and improve the product designBe a part of a growing and evolving design team, helping shape its culture and operationsFacilitate workshops — ability to partner with diverse stakeholders while defining problems and building consensus to meet customer and business needsIteration & Continuous Improvement:Review performance, identify insights, and find ways to enhance itFollow technologies, design trends and best practices to keep the cutting edge product experienceEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience2+ years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably in a digital product environmentA strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design work, including case studies that demonstrate how you’ve applied design thinking to build and ship productsProficiency in Figma and a strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards and design principlesExperience in designing web platformsDesired Qualities and Things You Need to SucceedStrong problem-solving approach, ability to navigate complex problems and ambiguities with an emphasis on user-centric solutionsAbility to balance both the functional and visual design requirementsDeep understanding of design principles, have experience working with design systemsAbility to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and balance speed and value in your work.
