Veterinary Technician

Clear Creek Veterinary Clinic in Idaho Springs is looking for a full-time employee to join our team. Our ideal Candidate will have experience as a Veterinary Technician. Previous experience in a veterinary setting, or animal handling experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individualStarting pay is $17.50/hr (without prior experience) and you will receive discounts on all veterinary services after your probation period.Key job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments. Answer phone calls when needed, which may involve answering questions and screening and appointments. Enter data into a computerized program. Filling prescriptions. Maintain the cleanliness of the office and assist in cleaning of the clinic. Assist veterinarian with lab work and diagnostics. Clean, sterilize, and maintain kennels, operating room, exam rooms, cages and surgical equipment. Comfort and safely restrain pets during examinations. Preparing animals and equipment for surgical procedures. Assist/take x-rays and use digital platforms to share x-rays. Educating animal owners Technicians will draw blood, place catheters, intubate, monitor anesthesia among other tasks.
