Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer to join its Wolfram|Alpha Web R&D group. The ideal candidate is someone with skills in software engineering who has extensive experience with the automation of application deployment and managing CI/CD cycles.
Responsibilities

Maintaining our CI/CD pipeline
Creating and deploying our services
Setting up and configuring monitoring solutions for system and application monitoring

Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration
Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation
Familiarity with monitoring solutions such as EFK (Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana), Prometheus and Grafana
Strong scripting skills in Bash for automation and system administration tasks
Experience working with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
In-depth knowledge of Git methodologies and best practices
Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, like Terraform or Ansible

Preferred qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics or a related technical or quantitative field
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) and/or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
